I wanted to personnally thank you for your support and execution of the FDA seminar held in Baltimore. "Surviving an FDA Audit" was an overwhelming success. the 35+ in attendance were glad they attended this seminar.
Your organizational skills insured the material was professional and appropriate for the audience. Also our plant personnel were able to gain a better understanding of FDA requirements.

|Dear Mr. McCarthy:
The Office of Health and Physical Education is inviting you to participate in the Baltimore County Public Schools Health Education Advisory Council. This council reviews for approval, the health education materials of instruction recommended by curriculum writers, teachers and the Office of Health and Physical Education. The council meets once or twice per school year. Occasionally, individuals members may receive requests for material reviews throughout the school year from the Office of Physical Education.
The council serves a very important function in the delivery and maintenance of a sound health education program in Baltimore County Public Schools.
Please call Barbara Sullivan for additional information. Thank you in advance for your involvement in the council.

In the fall of '97 I wrote to you seekingy your support of my applicstion for promotionto the Academic Rank of Professor. It is with deep gratification that I can report to you, that my promotion has recently been approved and will become effective with the begining of the 1999-2000 Academic year.
The reason for the delay is reflected in the need to satisfy the "Qualifications and Procedure for Promoting to Professor Extraordinary Faculty Who Do Not Hold A Terminal Degree" as specified on our Faculty Handbook. It is my understanding that this policy - requiring review and approval by the department P&T (twice); the University Criteria and Screening: and the Department P&TCommittees - is being evaluated and may undergo revision in the forseeable future. Perhaps changes will permit other "extraordinary" faculty to pursue their promotional career goals in a more timely fashion.
Your responsive to my appeal for support of my promotion was truly overwhelming. I will never forget your favorable assessment and evaluation of my varied efforts over the years in developing and implementing improvements in our academic program, department and university. I am truly humbled by your positive expression of recognition of my efforts in my multifaceted teaching career.
Thanks again for your past support and hope that I may continue to be worthy of your trust and confidence in me.
Very truly yours,
Frank R. Milio
